A delegation from the Western Sahara non-violence group, Nova, participated in the summer camp held in the Åland by the international organization Emmaus, the Åland branch. The Saharawi issue was the culmination of the activities of the summer camp, which lasted for two weeks. Which the Saharawi delegation made presentations and sensitization of the Saharawi national cause, through the activities, workshops, and the presented subjects, and the screening of films documenting the violations committed by the Moroccan occupation state against our people in the occupied territories. And what Saharawi detainees being exposed to in the Moroccan prisons, and the systematic depletion of our wealth. Mr. Eric Hagen presented a detailed account of figures and concrete evidence. He also presented a definition of the group and its activities in the camps, and the occupied territories; and the peaceful resistance followed by the Saharawi people since the historic uprising of Zemla. The members of the delegation assisted the host organization in some charitable activities, such as collecting used clothes to send to some of the needy in the world. The Saharawi delegation also had several meetings with local dignitaries, and was welcomed by the prominent politician Karina Al-Tonin, who visited the Saharawi refugee camps and renewed her admiration for the Saharawi people’s struggle, and the pivotal role of the Saharawi woman. The summer camp includes members of the organization in Spain, Lithuania, Finland , France, Sweden, Togo and Slovakia, as well as the Saharawi delegation consisting of: Sheikh Mahmoud, Taghla Mohamed Lamine, Khadijtou Sidi and Mohamed Suleiman
